1. David Folkman was one of the first Master Printers to graduate from the Tamarind Institute. He arrived in Houston in 1972, bringing with him Little Egypt Enterprises, where artists worked with master craftspeople to create multiples in lithography, etching, and ceramics. Folkman’s print collection included hundreds of prints by the likes of Bob Camblin, Penny Cerling, Lucas Johnson, Gail Siptak, Earl Staley, and many others, including work by artists Folkman worked with at Tamarind and Collector’s Press in San Francisco.
