Provenance[Pritam and Eames Gallery, East Hampton, NY]; purchased by Peter and Frances Marzio c.2010; Bequest of Frances Marzio, 2024

The Marzios were very interested in Judy McKie's bronze furniture after being introduced to it by MFAH curator Cindi Strauss. They purchased two pairs of door handles (Opposum and Gekko) for use in their Aspen and Houston homes. Both pairs were delivered to Houston and when MFAH trustee Caroline Wiess Law saw them she wanted them too. So the Marzios gave her one of each pair. Both of them displayed them as sculpture. After Mrs. Law's death, the two pieces in her possession presumably went to Leslie Elikins Sasser.
