Packed shoulder to shoulder in joyous reverie at Havana’s celebration of carnival, the city’s LGBTQ+ community stole the show, moving to the rhythm of the conga. Alejandro Pérez Álvarez, moving along with the crowds, captured the heat and energy of the music and dancers thanks to the unavoidable lag between his camera shutter and its flash.
