Description

Only nine issues of Camera Comics were ever published by U.S. Camera Publishing Corporation, appearing between 1944 and 1946, around the end of World War II. The series featured action heroes wielding not guns or superhuman strength but cameras. The comics present photography as a powerful force against evil, as the characters expose and conquer foreign enemies with their photographs. Several of the comics feature Linda Lens, a character labeled the first and only female action-adventure photographer.
