miembros del TTG trabajaran carpintería, hojalatería y cerámica, se consideraba
el tejido “asunto femenino”. Eso llevó a la creación en 1951 del colectivo
MAOTIMA (sigla que junta Manolita, Otilia, Ifigenia y María Angélica). Con
Manolita e Ifigenia al timón, esposa de Torres García y su hija menor, las
artistas bordaron y tejieron al unísono de la producción del Taller. Este tapiz
parte de una pintura del maestro, Composición
universal (1937), en la actualidad colección del Centre Pompidou.
