Description“I think about a story. Then I start thinking about its realization, the character, how it is dressed, the setting, and then at the end I create my artwork,” declared Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou. A mysterious narrative is suggested by Agbodjelou’s photograph from his Musclemen series. The three men are surrounded by bright, colorful patterns and posed next to a stool adorned with a blooming pink bouquet. The disparity between hard bodies and soft flowers, masculine and feminine elements, and menace and magnetism makes Agbodjelou’s imagined account both complex and captivating.
