DescriptionOver the course of 25 years, Nancy Lee Katz photographed more than 200 individuals considered particularly inspirational within their respective fields. Katz’s subjects included authors, visual artists, architects, composers, and performers of all types, as well as jurists and other public figures. Katz assembled a stunning collection of portraits representing the luminaries of her age, despite never selling, exhibiting, or promoting her photographs during her lifetime. Pictured here is the artist William Wegman with two of his iconic Weimaraners, who achieved mainstream recognition through their television appearances on "Sesame Street."
