DescriptionThese candlesticks are exceptional for their large size, and are very rare survivals. Candlesticks of similar configuration, with large mid-drip pans, but made of brass or pewter, were also in use at the time.
Provenance[D. M. & P. Manheim, New York]; purchased by Miss Ima Hogg, December 3, 1956; given to MFAH, by 1966.
