Description

Toshio Shibata has long been interested in the man-made structures that engineers have devised to control erosion, channel or dam rivers, reinforce rock faces, and otherwise hold back the forces of nature. Trained as a painter, he delights in the abstract visual dance of the natural world and human interventions.
