DescriptionThis dish originates from Iznik, the renowned center of Ottoman ceramic production. It exemplifies the cross-cultural interactions between the East and the West that flourished in a globally connected world. The wave pattern border is inspired by Chinese Ming porcelain, while the ship is a hybrid of the Ottoman and European ships that sailed the seas of the Ottoman Empire.
