verso a typed paper label: Denmark / 78778 Monthly deliveries of Esso Fuel oil, gasoline and / kerosene are made to the island of Mano, four miles / off the coast of Jutland, by a tank truck from the / storage plant at Esbjerg. During ebb tide the sea / between Mano and the mainland is low enough so that / the loaded truck can cross in about half an hour / following a track marked by dead trees pushed into / the sandy bottom. After each trip the truck is washed / thoroughly to prevent salt water corrosion. Fuel oil / is pumped into underground tanks at the dairy, gas / m and kerosene are delivered in metal containers.
