During ebb tide the sea between Mano and the / mainland is low enough so that the loaded truck can cross / in about half an hour following a track marked by dead / by dead trees pushed into the sandy bottom. After each / trip the truck is washed thoroughly to prevent salt water / corrosion. Fuel oil is pumped into underground tanks at / the dairy, gas and kerosene are delivered in metal / containers. A view of the truck making its island rounds.
