DescriptionThe image at the center of the plate is identified as the President’s House. It depicts this early view of the White House during the Andrew Jackson presidency as a Greek Revival-style building with two stories and a lower level. Joseph Andrews engraved the print source after a drawing by H. Brown about 1830.
