DescriptionThe Texas native E. O. Goldbeck enjoyed an almost eighty-year career as a photographer. He was best known for two types of photographs, both requiring technical skill and, at times, considerable advance planning. Using a Cirkut camera, mounted on a revolving tripod geared so that the camera and film could move in synchronization, Goldbeck produced long, narrow prints ideal for recording large groups, landscapes, and events such as Dedication of the New Bridge Connecting the United States with Mexico—Laredo, Texas and Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
