Description

Isaac Suttles’s brother George joined him in Lavernia by 1877 and worked on his own at a nearby site after Isaac’s death.

This slip-glazed, cylindrical jar is impressed with the name of a grocer in New Braunfels, Theo Eggeling. Stoneware jugs and jars that advertised retail and other businesses were common in the later 19th and early 20th centuries.
