George Duncan’s father, Matthew Duncan, established a pottery called Randolph Factory in Bastrop County, Texas, in the 1850s. George made pottery at his father’s firm. He died in 1863 while fighting for the Confederate Army.
This jar bears the impressed initials “G D” near the base.
