Description

Phillip Toledano’s series Days with My Father poignantly chronicles the final years of his father’s life and their time spent together. Following the death of Toledano’s mother, the photographer was forced to confront his father’s deteriorating mental state, which included the loss of his short-term memory. Through these pictures that highlight both the difficulty and emotional turbulence of his father’s life during this period alongside moments of joy and peace, Toledano offers a personal meditation on his relationship with his father and a celebration of connection that defines our humanity.
