Cofundador del grupo Arte No-Figurativo (1953), Costigliolo,
conjuntamente con María Freire, hizo indagaciones plásticas en formas de bordes
duros o espacios dinámicos. Compuesta con planos sobrepuestos en azul, blanco y
negro, esta pintura aparenta desdoblarse asimétricamente sobre un fondo ocre.
Al manipular tamaño, dirección y color, Costigliolo elabora una estructura que
sugiere movimiento perpetuo. La formas geométricas que se amplifican y encogen
hacen que la obra arremeta contra el observador y regrese al lienzo.
