Description

In his clever but thoughtful work, Kenneth
Josephson emphasizes the making, rather than the mere taking, of a photograph.
In Matthew, the infant is contained
within the heavy shadow of his father, the photographer. The shadow could
signify paternal lineage, yet it also shows how Matthew’s portrait was
carefully composed and controlled by the photographer.
