Bell, which became Bell & Bro's about 1860. Head of the business was father Samuel BELL (1798, PA - 1882 San Antonio), wife Eliza Carr BELL (1799 England - 1858 San Antonio), sons Edward C. BELL (1825-?CA), James BELL (1827-1828 TN), David BELL (1830-?San Antonio), James G. BELL (1832 - 1867?, CA), Powhattan BELL (1836-?, San Antonio), Jessup M. BELL (1837-?San Antonio) and Feterman BELL (1843-? San Antonio); daughters, Elizabeth Carr BELL LUTTRELL (early 1820's -?TN), Anna Maria BELL (1835-?TN), and Margaret L. BELL NEWTON (1839-? San Antonio).
