Alice Rosalie Urquhart

American, 1854–1922
BiographyA pioneering member of the Saturday Drawing Class, Rosalie Urquhart entered Newcomb the session of 1886-1887. She enrolled in the Special Art program from 1890-1893 and 1896-1897. Listed in the Normal Art program the session of 1900-1901. She was a Graduate Art student the sessions of 1901-1903, and joined the class of Pottery Design from 1903-1908. She worked as an Art Craftsman in 1908-1915 and 1916-1917. In addition to pottery design, Miss Urquhart established a reputation for herself as a designer of calendars and for book illustration.
