BiographyJohn Littleton and Kate Vogel met as art students at the University of Wisconsin, where more than a decade earlier Harvey K. Littleton, John's father, had taken the now legendary step of introducing glassblowing into the curriculum. However, it was not until Kate persuaded him to assist her at the glass furnace that John became seriously involved in the medium. Mastering processes which demand the utmost coordination, the two soon developed a close artistic partnership. Twenty years later this collaboration is so complete that it is virtually impossible to distinguish the contributions each makes to their work.John Littleton was born in Madison, WI. He studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen, MI, and received a BSA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, WI.
The couple maintains a studio in Bakersville, NC.
