With established individual careers, Françoise as a sculptor/painter, Daniel as a black-and-white photographer (in 1977 & 1980 Daniel was awarded with the Swiss Federal Grant of Applied Arts), they have worked in dialogue since 1995. They fused their practices in 1998, exhibiting as f&d cartier.
