BiographyPierre Eugene du Simitiere (1736? - October 1784) was a philosopher and member of the American Philosophical Society. He was born in Geneva, Switzerland and died in Philadelphia, the United States.

Du Simitiere was native of Switzerland, emigrating to America in 1766. He was an ardent supporter of the Revolution, and was among the first to collect material on the history of the war.
