BiographyOlivier Mourgue, who was born in 1939, was one of France's most well-known designers during the 1960s. He produced a series of furniture for Airborne International, which used a polyester shell to achieve sculptural and anthropomorphic qualities. His Djinn chairs were made famous by their use in the Stanley Kubrick film '2001: A Space Odyssey' (1965).
