Her contact with Peter Voulkos while in Berkeley was inspirational freeing Manz from the traditional limitations and expectations of her education. Awards: The Danish State Art Foundation, The Kroyer Awards, Lifelong Danish Government Grant, 1998, Thorvald Bindesboell Medal, 2001, and many others. Art: Manz settled in her native Denmark to make pots of startling simplicity and modernism.
