Each piece is painted with a portrait of Lady Hamilton as Hope in varied / attitudes on the seashore, a ship in the distance, the borders / dark-blue, with rich decoration in gold, and is marked / "Flight," with a crown above and cresent below in blue. / Bought at Christie's by D. SHERRATT & Co., Chester. / Sold to J. H. A. Whitley, Esq. / Eaton Hill / July 94 Tarporley (handwritten)
