Description

Photograms are created by placing objects on photographic paper and exposing the arrangement to light. For the experimental German photographer Floris Neusüss, however, the process captured more than the shadows of the subjects, it captured the elemental relationship between the objects and the paper. Neusüss noted, "This intimate physical connection inscribes into the paper, and this, if you are open to it, is the real fascination of photograms: the tension between the hidden and the revealed."
