Sol LeWitt’s work is
typically concerned with the reduction of line, form, and pure color. Brick Wall B #4 is one in a series of 30
black-and-white photographs that documents the surface of a brick wall
throughout various times of day. In doing so, the qualities of the wall become
familiar through repetition.

published in LeWitt’s artist-book, Brick
Wall, 1977. It shows two views of the wall as they would be seen on the
pages of the book.
