DescriptionThis mug is made of lead-glazed red earthenware. The potter formed the molded decorations, which include floral, bird motifs, as well as the British royal coat of arms, separately, and applied them to the body of the pot.
Provenance[Ginsburg & Levy, New York]; purchased by Miss Ima Hogg, November 28, 1961; given to MFAH, by 1966.
