DescriptionThe serving spoon presents very high quality in the execution of the piercing of the bowl and in the cast and chased ornament of the handle. The Néo-Grec aspects of this object are indicative of the revival styles popular in sterling silver flatware at the time, which included Egyptian, Gothic and Neoclassical revival styles to compliment the varied tastes of the American public.
