DescriptionAlways challenging himself anew, Pablo Picasso
continued to explore fresh means of balancing
illusion and representation in his post-Cubist
paintings, often drawing on his own life for
inspiration. Two Women in Front of a Window
presents two of the artist’s muses: one an
angular easel-like figure, possibly his wife
Olga, the other more ghostly and winsome,
whose profile matches that of his then-secret
lover Marie-Thérèse Walter.
