Inscriptions, Signatures and Marks
Inscription: Stamped in black on the majority of the units is: "Caution: To prevent risk of fire, use Type A 40 Watt Lamp Maximum". Most of the units have a date inscribed or stamped on the lower right. The dates range from "5-20-91" to "9-15-93". The presumption is that this is the date of manufacture for the particular firelog unit.
The sculpture is signed once on the back of ten log units (.A.3; .B.2; .B.5; .C.1; .C.3; .E.3; .F.4; .G.1; .G.3; .H.1) in black: "H. Altman '96".
