Inscriptions, Signatures and Marks
Inscription: On the top back of the handle is stamped: "1847 WH 1872", the WH is in script. On the back of the arm is stamped: "BROWNE & SPAULDING". On the back tip of the bowl are the stamp of one lion facing right, an "S" in an oval, and another lion facing left with "Patent 1866".
