Description“I was a liaison for the Underground. I was afraid but I had to do it; I’ve always been independent and patriotic. During the war we hid guns as well as people in our flat. We made divisions with curtains: behind each curtain was a different Jewish family. When our house was full or when I was tipped off that we would be visited by Nazis I found other hiding places for the Jews. . . . It is important for people to know that there were those of us in Poland who did try to save Jews.”
