Humor, visual trickery, and a blending of sculpture and photography have long been a part of Zeke Berman’s work. In his studio, he staged an “accident” involving a television modeled in clay and a real glass and spoon, poking fun at photography’s ability to capture and preserve instantaneous events—just the sort of thing done so well by Harold Edgerton 50 years earlier, as in the example displayed nearby.
