Both tureens featuring maker’s mark of "IP", under an image of St John(?) in an oval lozenge. This is possibly the mark of Ignazio Paroletto, recorded active in 1757 in the accounts of the Treasury of the Royal Household as delivering 53 dishes for the royal service.
1st Tureen with assay master’s mark of Francesco Pagliani (1775-1787) and counter assay master’s mark of Carlo Micha (1759-1787). 2nd Tureen with assay master’s mark of Giovanni Battista Carrone (1753-1778) with counter assay master’s mark of Bartolomeo Bernardi (1778-1816).
All the individual items bear incised weight indications and numbers.
