In the wake of George Floyd’s murder, the Black Lives Matter protests, and the loneliness of pandemic isolation, “When Hands Touch” now seems like a prescient antidote to troubled times, celebrating physical and emotional intimacy and presenting an image of young African Americans contrary to the media stereotypes more commonly presented.
