Carrington has photographed the Third Ward community in Houston for more than
three decades and has taught photography at Houston’s Jack Yates Senior High
School since 1993. His photographs reflect his deep ties to the community and
celebrate the people and moments that define it. This photograph graced the
cover of a catalogue Clint Willour authored for an exhibition of Carrington’s
work that traveled to five venues throughout Texas.
