During ebb tide the sea / between Mano and the mainland is low enough so that / the loaded truck can cross in about half an hour / following a track marked by dead trees pushed into / the sandy bottom. After each trip the truck is washed / thoroughly to prevent salt water corrosion. Fuel oil / is pumped into underground tanks at the dairy, gas / m and kerosene are delivered in metal containers.
