DescriptionThis decanter in the honeycomb pattern was sold in sets along with wine and cordial glasses, tumblers, goblets, pitchers, eggcups, jelly glasses, and ocher forms. Although over 1,500 pressed-glass patterns are known today, fewer than half can be attributed to any particular factory. The Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, attributes a similar example in their collection to the New England Glass Company.
Provenance[Estate sale, Connecticut]; purchased by Richard Fluhr, early 1990s; given to MFAH, 2013.
