[1] The Botanical Studies are probably after William Roxburgh (1751-1815), considered the father of Indian botany.
The South Indian Company School Paintings have no identifiable provenance, except as follows:
[Arader and Co., New York, 2002–2019]; Edward and Kendall Ondarza, Houston, 2019–2021; given to MFAH, 2021.

The Botanical studies provide subject titles in English and Hindi, and have the red stamp of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society on each page, lower right.
